24 Arrested In Huge Pueblo Heroin Bust

So I’m checking to see if anything is going on in Prairie Town that isn’t a local citizen in dark clothing being hit by a car while attempting to cross I-25 at 2:30 a.m., when I find this big news:

“24 people were arrested at the culmination of a 9-month heroin trafficking investigation in Pueblo. 5 other suspects remain fugitives.The arrests took place on Friday, August 5, when investigators seized 10.3 pounds of black tar heroin from a vehicle. The heroin was concealed in a hidden compartment. Also seized during the investigation were $43,131 cash, 2 handguns, and 12 vehicles.

Arrested in this case are 22 adults and two juveniles. The adults are:

6. Alonso BARAJAS-DUENAS, 45 yoa, of Pueblo, Colorado
7. Jesus MARES-LIBRARO, 40 yoa, of Pueblo, Colorado
8. Matthew James MCDANIEL, 28 yoa, of Pueblo, Colorado
9. Sharleen Robin TRUJILLO, 38 yoa, of Pueblo, Colorado
10. Jessica Aleece MILLER, 32 yoa, of Pueblo, Colorado
11. Edward LOOMIS, 36 yoa, of Pueblo, Colorado

3. Miguel OCHEA-GONZALES, 27 yoa, of Pueblo, Colorado
4. Jesse LLAMAS, 11-10-1983, 27 yoa, of Pueblo, Colorado
5. Jose Eduardo INDA-ARTEGA, 24 yoa, of Pueblo, Colorado”
