Marcy Wheeler: Most pro–Blunt-Rubio Amendment senators have likely used birth control
Via AMERICABlog:
“I confess. I’m contemplating calling all the Senators who voted for the Blunt Amendment yesterday to ask for a statement detailing:
▪ What the Senators’ history of reproductive choice has been, including details on what kinds of birth control they’ve used and who paid for it
▪ Whether the Senators (or their spouses) have used erectile dysfunction drugs, and who paid for it
Mind you, I think such questions are inappropriate.
But given that 48 Senators–including 3 Democrats and 4 women–voted yesterday to say that employers should have really intrusive control over their employees’ healthcare decisions (including, but in no way limited, to reproductive health), it seems fair to at least inquire whether these men and women have been relying on birth control to plan their families, whether their use of birth control violates their religion’s stated doctrine, and whether taxpayers paid for birth control during their child-bearing years”.

Why Obamacare is good for America - The Denver Post
Tell me again how going to the E.R. is a good option for the uninsured…
“People without public or private insurance coverage are costly to all of us. In a familiar mechanism called "cost-shifting," hospitals charge higher rates for services to those with insurance in order to offset the losses from uncompensated emergency department care. Insurers raise rates to cover the cost of inflated bills, and the uninsured and underinsured are sent to collection agencies and/or forced into bankruptcy. Companies respond by scaling back on or eliminating health care benefits for their employees, and more Coloradans fall from the insured universe.”
All the benefits laid out nicely here:

“Both Sides Do It”
Um, no they don’t .When was the last time the (damn liberal) media reported on a pet dog with “Republican” painted on its side.
(I know this is late – just got the blog back up yesterday)
“LITTLE ROCK, Ark (Reuters) - A cat belonging to an Arkansas Democratic campaign manager was found dead on Sunday night with the word "Liberal" spray-painted across its side, the campaign manager said.
The cat was a pet of Jake Burris, who manages Democrat Ken Aden's bid for Arkansas' 3rd Congressional District. Aden is running against incumbent Republican Representative Steve Womack.
Burris was returning to his Russellville, Arkansas home with his four children when he found the cat on his doorstep, the Aden campaign said in a press release on Monday.”
